General Body Meetings
Meet with all of VTVSA at our general body meetings. These meetings range from our first general body meeting with introductions to our Tet meeting or even Winter Banquet. We also hold joint meetings with other AASU organizations at Virginia Tech (i.e. CAS, FASA, etc.)
Culture Show
One of our biggest events of the year! The Vietnamese Student Association’s Annual Culture shows serve the purpose of providing exposure to the Vietnamese culture, as well as spreading awareness of the cultural diversity of the students at Virginia Tech. The show will feature an array of dynamic performances ranging from Vietnamese traditional and modern dances, skits, acting and a fashion show to exhibit our proud heritage and traditions. Come and see the cultural aspects of our organization with some modern twists. Sit and enjoy the show!
Football Tournaments
Turkeybowl
Hosted by George Mason University, Turkeybowl is a fall football tournament between Vietnamese Student Associations in the Mid-Atlantic region. The winner of the football tournament wins a trophy and cash prize for their philanthropy.
Dukebowl
Hosted by James Madison University, Dukebowl is a spring football tournament between Vietnamese Student Associations in the Mid-Atlantic region. The winner of the football tournament wins a trophy and cash prize for their philanthropy.
Intramural Sports
The intramural flag football teams consist of the men’s team, women’s team and co-ed team.
MAUVSA Events
MAUVSA Advance Conference (MAC)
MAC is the biggest MAUVSA event of the year and it seeks to bring together over 400 young professionals of the Mid-Atlantic region and neighboring regions for the purpose of empowering these individuals with the right tools to become successful leaders.
MAUVSA Leadership Camp (MLC)
MLC is another big MAUVSA event held during the summer over a duration of three days. It seeks to help young individuals of the Mid-Atlantic region and neighboring regions to develop strong leadership skills and connect with each other on a deeper level.
